This is the first book by this author that I have read and I really enjoyed it. A good light romance. (

This was an okay read. I liked the fact that the couple went to Spitsbergen, but would have liked to hear/see more about that. It missed a bit of atmosphere. I also would have liked it better if Alex had understood more gradually who Joanna really was and expected a more intense reaction when he finally found out how his friend had treated her. (

The first in the series.
Alec despises Lady Joanne and the feeling is mutual. But sparks fly when they are told they must travel to the frozen Arctic to rescue Joanne's dead husband's illegitimate child. (

I loved this book! The story was completely different from the usual historical romances. It was exciting and a wonderful and unusual love story. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. (

Read the first 100 pages, then gave up. The characters argue and argue, but all over nothing that a few words of explanation couldn't have fixed. The author's prose isn't awful, but it isn't good, either -- not much variety in sentence structure, no variety in verb choice. In a more accomplished author's hands, the storyline could have been terrific, but it simply fell flat for me.
