On October 20, 2006, a middle-aged auto mechanic, Jeff Markin, walked into the emergency room at the Palm Beach Gardens Hospital and collapsed from a massive heart attack. Forty minutes later he was declared dead. After filling out his final report, the supervising cardiologist, Dr. Chauncey Crandall, started out of the room. "Before I crossed its threshold, however, I sensed God was telling me to turn around and pray for the patient," Crandall says. With that prayer and Dr. Crandall's instruction to give the man what seemed one more useless shock from the defibrillator, Jeff Markin came back to life - and remains alive and well today. But how did a Yale-educated cardiologist whose Palm Beach practice includes some of the most powerful people in American society, including several billionaires, come to believe in supernatural healing? The answers to these questions compose a story and a spiritual journey that transformed Chauncey Crandall.… (meer)

Raising The Dead is one of those rare books that touches your very soul, it reminded me of the power of prayer, and that if its in God's will that people can be healed thru that prayer.
The day God spoke to Dr. Crandall in the E.R. compelling him to pray for a man who had been pronounced dead, God told him to give the man one more chance. The miracle that occurs when Dr. Chauncey obeyed God is astounding, the man that was dead came back to life!

Dr. Crandall was a Christian but he really began to question what he really believed when his son was diagnosed with Leukemia. The Dr. takes us along on his spiritual quest, allowing us to witness thru his eyes the power of prayer and the miracle of healing. The stories that he shares are so amazing and inspiring you will be blessed just by reading about them. The fact that he questions
He takes the knowledge he finds and puts it to work in his medical practice, praying for the patient as well as treating them medically.
It was amazing to read Dr. Crandall's story watching him accept the power of healing and allow God to work thru him . This is one of those books you wont be able to put down. A must read for anyone needing a little hope or inspiration. ( )
