In Too Deep:
Harry Lonnigan is a P.I. helping out friends by trying to nab a group of thugs who are extorting elderly business owners in the neighborhood. While doing undercover surveillance, he meets a woman, Charlotte "Charlie" Jones, who is badly disguised as a man and who jumbles up his investigation to the point where they are both abducted by the thugs. Turns out she's been spying on her negligent father who has been out of the picture for over 18 years, leaving her to care for her mother and younger sister. Harry is drawn into her drama and as they get closer, it becomes harder for him to admit his close association to her father and try to convince her to accept a long sought-after reconciliation.
Married to the Boss:
R.J. Maitland, president of Maitland Maternity Clinic, has been given a bunch of bad press by a former girlfriend who has accused him of getting her pregnant and then abandoning her. He relies on the friendship and stability of his longtime executive secretary, Dana Dillinger. In order to restore his reputation and save his dwindling business, he suggests a temporary marriage to Dana. She agrees but with some conditions of her own. (
