( ) The book describes a family and the emotions that each family member may experience. The emotions are connected to colors, providing a visual for how blue might feel. This book is a good example having a bad day, but remembering that tomorrow is a new day. This book is suitable for ages 4-5 years old. This book ties together moods with colors. Summary: This is a book about an African American boy who describes how he feels each day and his family life by colors. It has a very nice rhythm feel and also seems like a poem. My Reaction: This would be a good way to have children who are young learn to describe the way they are feeling. Classroom Extensions: 1. I think this would be a good book to read after the kids have a bad day. A lot of children don't know or aren't allowed to express their feelings. 2. You could also read this and then have the children color a picture of themselves or a family member and color them like the boy described his family. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
