This story is about a hamster whose friends are pretending to forget his birthday and in the end they make a surprise party for him. He's disappointed at first but Dog didn't forget Hamsters birthday as he asks his opinion in the bakery and the toy store as the mouse friends secretly scurry to buy the items.He invites Dog to his house but the quiet friend are already there. Hamster is really surprised and enjoys the celebration. The Illustrations are colorful and will help children connect ( )

This story is about the day of Hamster's birthday. All day he kept hoping that somebody will remember that it is his birthday but no one does until the end. This is a super cute book that children enjoy listening to. Part of why I like this book is because it is a story that children can interact with because the characters ask questions that children can give responses too. This is a great book for early elementary students.
