NCLA Review - Nearly a century has gone by since peace was declared after “the war to end all wars” was over. How many wars has the world seen since that date? How many global citizens have prayed in all languages and cultures for peace and an end to war? Here is a beautiful collection of 15 poems and prayers for peace intended for children. Many of the poems and prayers included are drawn from biblical, traditional and contemporary sources, compiled and written by Sophie Piper. The illustrations by Giuliano Ferri make the words of each selection come alive and beautifully capture the message of peace. These inspirational poems and prayers will encourage children and adults of all ages to work together for peace in a world still shattered by war.
