Truly, Madly, Deeply You was a relatively interesting novella. It’s a short story of Frey and his quest to admit his love to his best friend Liese. While the story was short, sweet and romantic, there were a few things about Truly, Madly, Deeply, You that annoyed me – all of them having to do with Liese.

The first thing you learn is that Liese has a tremendous amount of guilt from the death of her previous lover. This part I understood, but her obliviousness to not only Frey’s feelings for her, but also her feelings for him, was frustrating. Frey’s feelings are basically screaming at her throughout the entire story but she is so wrapped up in her own guilt that she couldn’t see it. Frey is such a wonderful guy (the best part about the whole book) you can’t help but root for him and give Liese the “death glare” for not realizing what was right in front of her face. Seriously, how many women wouldn’t want a genuine nice guy who was willing to do anything and everything to be with them? But needless to say when she finally did come to her senses, it was well worth the wait.

Truly, Madly, Deeply, You is a fun quick tale and would make an excellent beach read or a nice book to pull out when you are taking a long train ride. Robert has a classical romance style of writing which I would like to see spread out over a full length novel (actually I’m really, really, really hoping to see more of these characters). I defiantly recommend this novella for those of you who need a quick romance fix. ( )

Truly, Madly, Deeply, You was a very interesting book and I'm glad I got the opportunity to read it! It's a very short book so it was a lovely quick escape and I like that I was able to read it in one sitting! Sometimes I just need something nice and sweet that I can read easily and Truly, Madly, Deepy, You was certainly that kind of book! It manages to be light and entertaining but also had a darker and more meaningful side to it.

Liese is not in a good place in her life and hasn't been for several years. She takes four days every year to indulge in her grief though we aren't told the exact details at the beginning. I quite liked that we weren't told everything at once because it added a sense of mystery to the story and kept me intrigued enough to want to keep reading on. The reader is given little hints along the way and I did have it pieced together by the time Liese told the story herself but it was still sad to have to read what had gone on! There are lots of emotions in this book and it kept me on edge the entire time.

The friendship/relationship between Liese and Frey is was shown well! It was believable and both characters were easy to like. I did feel like the more minor characters weren't done very well and they didn't really feel like part of the story at all, and sometimes the dialogue just really wasn't working for me. It seemed to be either really frilly or really stiff. But if you're looking for a short and sweet tale; this is it! Also, I love the characters names. It's also nice to read books where the characters have interesting names! ( )

“Truly, Madly, Deeply, You” is about a sweet friendship that turns into a steamy romance.

I really enjoyed this tender hearted romance. The story was beautiful and just grabbed my attention from the beginning. It is so amazing when friendship turns into something more, especially when the pair are a perfect match like these two.

Liese is a beautiful woman who just doesn’t know what a gem she has in Frey. I really enjoyed her character and getting to know her even though I was a bit frustrated that she couldn’t see how great Frey really was as more than just a friend. The relationship between these two is so compelling and sweet. I loved seeing it blossom into something more.

Frey is such a sweet and romantic man (even though Liese takes a while to realize it). He really cares for her and treats her with kindness and respect. He loved her, but waited and did his best to make her see that the man for her was right in front of her all along. (I love Frey).

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a sweet romance! ( )
