I am becoming convinced that any cookery book where I actually have made up a recipe, I should do a review. In this case, it is the Southwestern Chili, p. 223. This is a very decent sort of Chili, which should satisfy any vegetarian, and one can always add a pound (or so) of Beef stew meat if one can't accept the idea of vegetarian chili con carne. I really am enjoying this read so far. I was interested to find out that during the Revolutionary and Civil Wars that soldiers boiled the skins of potatoes as a kind of coffee. I also find it hard to fathom the nutritional benefits as well.
