I liked the analogy of losing your temper to the soda bottle popping. As always there is a great story, humour and some good tips for parents/teachers. The Activity Book is also useful for ideas on working with young children with anger management issues. ( ) Little Kid Reaction: "Mom, do you have any more of these Julia Cook books?" Our daughter dove into the stories and spent a long time exploring the imagery. Lester's explosive personality resonated with her, and she picked up on the fact that its not just kids who find life unfair. Big Kid Reaction: The imagery is great ... and so is Lester's solution. The "Push / Pull / Dangle" is easy to remember and discreet to do! The author did a fabulous job creating three scenes where kids are likely to loose their cool: the cafeteria, the classroom, and at home with a sibling. The perfect companion to Soda Pop Head. Anger is an emotion felt by everyone. The purpose of this activity book is to offer hands on activities that can teach a child how to channel anger in productive and non-destructive ways. It is important to teach children that it's OK to feel angry. It's what they choose to do with their anger that can make the difference!. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
