Minnie and Moo set off to visit Paris on a stolen bus, visiting Africa and China along the way.
Realistic settings, events. Unrealistic human-like characteristics of animals

I had mixed feelings about this book after reading it. I liked the book for some reasons and I didn't like the book for other reasons. I liked the book because of how creative and silly it was. I think that this book was supposed to be written to make children laugh because of how silly it was. I also liked how the book personified Minnie and Moo, Since they are both cows and can't speak or go on adventures the way they did in this book. The book made them have human characteristics. The author made the characters, Minnie and Moo, believable even though they were unrealistic. I didn't really like the book in a way because the book seemed to over exaggerate and repeat itself. by the middle of the book I knew that the cows weren't actually going to paris or china, there was no sense of mystery of where they were going to go. But that being said I did like how the author made up places to seem as if the cows were really in china or paris, it was creative. The main idea of this book was friendship and journeys or adventure. The cows go to all these different places on a sort of big adventure while maintaining to never seperate or fight keeping their crazy and fun friendship. This book teaches children that friends should stay with each other no matter how crazy one of the friends adventures is.

In this early reader, cows, Minnie and Moo are interested in adventure and want to go to Paris, China and Africa. Moo finds a bus and starts driving them on an adventure to Africa, Paris and then China, all before it is time for the 5pm milking. Along the way they gather friends with them on their trip and even manage to get into some mischief with their friends back at the farm.

This is a longer early text for more advanced early readers. The text is full of fun and clever adventures that will hold the attention of most readers. There is a lot of dialog between Minnie and Moo that does tend to get repetitive and slow down the plot of the book. Having children do research about the Eiffel Tower is a natural offshoot of reading this book that readers might enjoy exploring further. The illustrations are colorful and fun, especially toward the end of the book on the farm. ( )

Minnie and Moo are two cows that decide to make off with a bus and see the world. Neither of these two cows are very good at reading signs as they stumble through Africa (Africa World Amusement Park), the Eiffel Tower (an electrical tower), and China (China Wong’s Car Wash).

So Minnie and Moo are one more famous set of book characters to add to the long list of book characters (and real people, including me) who want to go to Paris. Yes, their trip to Paris was pretty much like my trip to Paris this summer (mostly in my imagination), but, hey, they came away with some great stories. ( )

I love these cows. They have so many exciting adventures in this story, but learn an important lesson - no matter how far you travel, it's always nice to come home. ( )
