So many things to say, the second volume, in what I call the test arc, is pack full of the feels. It's in this volume that we get to see how much Gajeel has changed. More so we get to see how Levy's feelings have changed for Gajeel. Once scared of him, she now trusted and maybe even has some feels for the iron dragon slayer.
I like those little bits of, well you can't really call it romance; it’s a bit too childish for that. Puppy love, maybe? It's fun to see how awkward it is..>.
This volume is also the start of their battle with the dark guild Grimoire Heart and it doesn’t start off as a very fair battle. It's hard to read, because some of my favourite characters are getting hurt/slaughtered. Even though you know it will turn out okay, you can't help but wonder if that's really true.
This volume is the start of a dark, heart-string pulling sub-arc. It’s the beginning of something much more tragic then injured guild members. It is the start of what will changed everything, and twist that happy ending into something unhopeful and tearful.
Give this story a chance, you'll be pulled into its magical world of emotions and desperation that will have you wanting more.
Happy Reading
