I think this is a great book to use with upper elementary students when we are talking about grammar. It gives examples of proper noun being capitalized and also the things you should capitalize when writing a letter. This book might help the student understand rather than just give them a list of do's and donts'. ( ) PSC REVIEW: Well, if nothing else the title of this book will fit the Common Core standard for increasing vocabulary! Pulver and Reed had teamed up for another grammar book with Mr. Wright’s class. His class writes a letter about Teacher Appreciation Day with no capital letters. Because of their lack of use, the capital letters find themselves ill because of serious neglect. The emergency team arrives with CPPR (Capital Position and Posture repair) they are again able to function and the principal is able to receive a well written letter. Mr. Wright’s admonishment that a letter is not a text message is heard loud and clear by the class. Reed’s pictures are fun. The acrylic art is accented with decorated letter magnets. I can’t help feeling that this story is a bit convoluted but it serves it purpose. If you’ve enjoyed the other books by this team, this would worth considering. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Capital letters are being so neglected in Mr. Wright's classroom that they are nearly incapacitated, and a medical team must be summoned to perform CPR-- Capital Posture Repair. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
