The one word to summarize this story would be 'hot'. Tyler and Dane are so in lust from the moment they meet, they can hardly keep their hands off each other. In fact, they don’t. While that isn’t a problem for Tyler, who is a free man, so to speak, Dane, as the sheriff investigating a crime Tyler has allegedly committed, should know better.

Dane is a bit of an odd character. He knows what is right, does a great job as sheriff and now discovers that he has a weakness. This annoys him, and he occasionally takes it out on Tyler, but he still cannot help himself around the man. Dane has to learn and accept that he is only human, after all, and I loved watching him struggle.

Tyler already knows he his human, and he has the rap sheet to prove it. Misdemeanors, mostly, but still. Trouble seems to have a way of finding him, and his newest ‘infatuation’ with the sheriff is no exception. Tyler tries to be good, for once, but he refuses to accept that his falling in love with Dane is a problem. And it isn’t – not for him.

I think this story has just the right degree of conflict between the two main characters. I also liked reading about these two very macho and very hot men who can’t stay away from each other. Even though the plot seemed a little less important than what the two guys get up to, I liked following their adventures. Recommended to anyone interested in stories where the main characters face some fight, a lot of temptation and some very hot situations anywhere but between the sheets. ( )

Finally reread this one so I could review it here and loved it again! Cranky Sheriff is in lust with the town's hot new cowboy, who just so happens to have a pretty impressive arrest record, so he tries to fight the attraction with all of his might. Doesn't quite out work for him. Lots of great sex and emotional drama happens instead.
