A bird sings and doesn't care how others think, but how he feels. This creative picture book shows 3 birds in a nest. The first bird sings and flies away, the second bird sings and flies away, as the third bird tries to sing, nothing comes out and it becomes very frustrated. A little boy shows up with his guitar and starts singing the famous song, "Sing." As the little boy is singing, musical notes are pushing the third bird higher and higher into the sky. The third bird starts singing and starts to fly away. At the end of the book, it shows the song lyrics to the song "Sing." The illustrations are very simple and neat. There are very little text in the book, but the pictures show more meaning. This book is very cute for beginning readers, toddlers even. A teacher can use this book in a daycare or an elementary school, singing the song or reading it. It's very catchy and easily remembered. The book SING is a book for young children because it is a book that is suppose to be sung. I think this book is a good book if there is the audio behind it but without the audio I do not like the book. I think the pictures in the book are good because they match to what the lyrics are trying to say. I would use this book in my future classroom, but only sometimes when I feel the kids are being hyper. This is not the type of book I would just read to my students for fun. Sing! is a book written by someone who gave tribute to the man that wrote this song for Sesame Street. There is a bird who seems discouraged to find its voice, until it perseveres and learns to sing words to the world. Without a storyline there really isn’t a purpose to this book, so it wasn’t very interesting. If anything the story would have been written for a very young child. Children can listen to a free download of the song and look at the book, but otherwise there really is nothing fantastic about this book. SING by Tom Lichtenheld is a story that get children wanting to sing. It starts out with a bird leaving a tree singing a song while another bird is sitting in the tree stuck trying to sing. A boy with a guitar goes under the tree to try and help the bird sing a song. Once the boy starts to sing and play his guitar the bird can start to sing which makes him happy. Overall the point of the book is to get children to sing more. The illustrations are bright and simple drawing of birds. A teacher could use this in a classroom if they wanted to play the soundtrack from Sesame Street with it to help kids read the words better. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
