Cute and funny, but with ultimately mixed messages. Cheetah doesn't really have any redeemable qualities, so why do the kittens still want to be friends with him? Even though the kittens won the big race, they felt sorry for cheetah and let him think that he won. I can appreciate the sympathy, but afterwards cheetah doesn't seem to learn a lesson from it; he continues on, unaware. Is this book saying that we should always give in to bullies? Let jerks have their way?

This book teaches children that they do not always have to win. The cheetah in the book always has to win and his friends are getting tired of it. The friends make obstacles to make the cheetah tired before the real race. After every game, the cheetah believes that he has to win. At the end the friends let him believe that he won at everything but they know the truth. It shows how friends have feelings and they don't want to hurt their friend's feelings, but they have to make sure that they are getting treated fairly too. ( )

Cheetah Can't Lose is a book about a young cheetah who wins every race. But the cats begin to trick cheetah so he loses the race. This book can teach children about being a good sport and how its okay to lose sometimes. I think the pictures in this book are very cute. ( )

Cheetah is the fastest and he never loses. Well the two cats have a plan where they can finally win. They trick him to do other races before the big race. All these other races Cheetah wins and starts to get tired so when the big race starts cheetah ends up losing but the cats being generous decide to tell him he won. Keeping their friendship together. ( )
