This was free on iTunes under a different title, "Bedding the Wrong Brother", which was an awful title. I like "This Magic Moment" better. Cheesy, but at least it doesn't have a tinge of twisted infidelity.

Great opening chapter. After it ended I already cared about and was interested to find out what would happen to the trio. I have a soft spot for smart, chubby teenagers growing up and finding their inner sex goddess (ahem!), and was always into the twin brothers thing (mmm Taggerts), so I was hooked. However, after the hotel bedroom scene (the best chapter of the whole book. You could feel the years of sexual tension/attraction between them, and I like how this doesn't shy away from using grown up words. None of that "manroot" or "her womanly folds" business) the writing could have used a bit of tightening up. The lake house scene left me bored. Melinda is, understandably, emotionally scarred from her insensitive dickhead ex-boyfriends, but she would overthink too much and several times she would get visibly worked up and tense. Lady, Kalm Yo Tits and just go for it. And Rhys, WTH, if you had a few days to win over the girl of your childhood and adult dreams, why waste a few hours sanding a mantle? Then the phone call with mom. Unhelpful would be an understatement. Realistic, yes. My own mom is an ace at these The decision is within you answers. But it does nothing to tilt Melinda into making a decision, only leaving her more confused, and I felt frustrated by that. Okay so maybe it was a neat trick after all, because it affected me,

Plotwise, by way of climax, there was the common, almost typical McNaughtian misunderstanding (uh-oh, someone poked at the other's biggest insecurity) turns into fight, one of them runs away, anger melts into rumination leading to epiphany, then eventual reconciliation. Plus point though because thank God he said the L word first. The epilogue was satisfactory, as their problem of making lifestyles meet was neatly solved. It also sketched out the pairings in the next book, and based on the archetypes (Lucy Jamie: sexually empowered woman stuck-up guy. Max Grace: reformed womanizer She's A Lady. Clearly we're banking on the Fire and Ice combo here), looks like it's going to work. What keeps these stories from becoming too formulaic is that the characters are fleshed out such that you feel that they could be your friends? And the ladies here ate a lot of ice cream, so, yum, how is that for vicarious enjoyment? So I kept reading this one, and would read the rest. ( )

I really wanted to give this book a great review because I liked the story. I just could not connect with Melina. After reading some really great stories I was actually afraid to even write this review because I could not get into the book. When the book first started I was like YAY this is going to be fun and interesting but, by the time I got to the third of fourth chapter I was screaming at Melina and Rhys and Max and my husband because I was irritated. I was bored but, I wanted the story to jump alive. It was way to predictible for my tastes and it didn't give me enough to like the characters. Now what I will not say is that story was horrible because it wasn't. I liked it but, I did not enjoy it. Maybe it was me coming down from my recent book high of four and five star books. So 2.5 stars because I am going to rate closest to 2.0.. it was okay! ( )

Given by the publisher for an honest review

I really liked it..It was the perfect combination of passion, fun, hot fighting and romance..

Melina is one of the cutest characters ever!..She doesn't believe she's sexy or beautiful, for that matter, but she owns the feeling so well that you can hardly see that she doesn't like it..On the one hand, she wants to change herself..On the other hand, she knows who she is and actually likes herself..It's such a peculiar combination of emotions but that's Melina,I guess...

Rhys is the guy who seemingly has it all, but still has insecurities..He doesn't feel enough, when compared to his brother..especially when it comes to Melina..But he takes the leap of faith and goes for it...Well,he went for it quite late,in my opinion...

I liked the contradictions that both characters have, because it made the story more interesting..They were intriguing yet quite real...
Not every woman feels sexy and beautiful. Not every man thinks he's a God.Not every person feels enough.
But they make it work and that's what counts,in the end...

PS
Can't to wait to read about Max's story!!! ( )
