It is action from the very start and the reader is filled with information as the story progresses.
The Original Captain Victory could be read as an apocryphal continuation of the Fourth World, with some hints that the Captain's Grandfather is Darkseid. This installment picks the same references and allow you to have fun without any gaps.
Unfornately, Sterling Gates a good story, but it is open-ended as most of Kirby's work.
Anyway, it is good sci-fi story with bold art and it deserves to be read. (
