I'm hooked on this series. Even though Kathleen makes a lot of stupid life endangering decisions I like the back & forth between her & the brothers. Will she or won't she? Who will she pick? There's good suspense who's after her to kill her & great romance. ( )

In this third installment in the Kathleen Turner series, Kade has promoted Kathleen to investigator and she is taking her job seriously, both training and accompanying Kade to Denver on a case. While there, she is tempted by Kade, knowing that Blane doesn't trust her with why he is defending a known rapist. When her estranged cousin, Chance visits her and tells her not to share anything about him with anyone, especially Blane, she realizes that she and Blane are now keeping secrets from one another. Blane's decision to run for governor further threatens their relationship when Senator Keaton approaches Kathleen telling her she isn't good enough for him and tries to buy her off, leaving Kathleen wondering if she isn't better off leaving all of them behind.

Once again, this story is filled with overly dramatic scenes and unrealistic situations, but the tension between the characters and not knowing who Kathleen will end up with makes these books impossible to put down. Kathleen seems to find more ways to get in trouble than any one woman ever could, and gets hurt more often than is humanly possible but still keeps going almost like it's just another day at the office. Overall, this is a highly suspenseful book with nonstop action making it a very enjoyable read. ( )

A lot of definitely cringe-worthy parts, but this series is very seriously like crack and I just can't get enough!! ( )

Repito: Es bastante sosa la trama (muuuuchas cosas ridículas... muchas ... ademas de varias ofensivas) pero ---eh, que se yo, tiene algo , capaz sea la trama; capaz el a veces tedioso a veces entretenido triángulo amoroso; o quizá el hecho de que Kat sea una de esas mal llamadas "girlie-girls" que suelen caerme bastante bien; es diferente como protagonista : no es dura ni agresiva, ni se las sabe todas ... es fanática de Britney Spears! (algo que, lo crean o no , le suma bastante puntos ----en mi opinión, claro está... yo fui fan de Britney cuando tenía once años ) y , además , me hace acordar a esas cuasi manic-pixie-dream-girls que no son ofensivas porque , a fin de cuentas, la historia que se cuenta es desde su punto de vista , así que... la mente y la personalidad no son en base a la mirada masculina.

En fin, tiene muchisimos errores y alguna que otra cosa machista (sobre todo en los primeros dos libros) PEEEEERO mejora de a poco. Ayer me tuvo hasta las dos de la madrugada hasta que logré terminar esta tercera entrega.
