This was a nice introduction to the Legend series. I enjoyed reading about June and Day in their respective environments. I could sense an aspect of them associated more with June, with her age, friendship struggles, and support from her older brother.

I'm looking forward to beginning the other Legend books in the series. (

This is a short novella giving a glimpse on one of the memorable days of Day and June before the Legend. Day recounting the memory of his first kiss and of June at her first day at the University. The stories on this novella shows us that Day misses the company of a family and of June's respect and love for her brother Metias. I love reading this short novellas because they giving a glimpse on some important events of the lives of the characters in the books. (

In my desire to read things chronologically, I've read this novella prior to reading any of the rest of the Legend series. As far as I can tell, it gives us a nice sneak peek into the world in which we're about to immerse ourselves in the next 3 books. We meet a boy, Day, in the first section and learn a bit about his life in this dystopian type world. In the second section we meet a girl, June and see what her life is like in the same world. Some events overlap a bit in the two sections. I'm eager to read more. (
