This novella gives us a glimpse of the first meeting of Jack & Mila - more of a short scene than a full-blown story - but some more insight into Jack as a character. (

I enjoyed the book, but what can I say? Jack Dandy's just not my favorite of the characters. (

I like these little novellas. What a nice trend in series/genre literature. This story gives some insight into Jack Dandy's past and rolls him back into the overall story as well. I am definitely intrigued by the next full novel as a result. (
