This book was great as a poetry book that doesn't actually feel like poetry which is useful when first introducing poetry to a child. The book maintains a really great flow which is crucial to poetry. The author was very creative in keeping the flow using mostly real words that would be known by young readers while every once in a while throwing in a word that was made up or slightly more challenging.The writing style is great in that sense and really is easy to follow and read aloud or to self. The writing style stayed consistent throughout allowing the reader to focus and follow the storyline more easily. The pictures in this book were so detailed. They were so mesmerizing and yet not distracting to the story. They added depth to the story and were comical which helps keep students interested and helps comprehension of the storyline. The main idea of this book was to entertain and introduce poetry. ( )

love the song/video on the Web site to do the Halloween hustle! the kids liked the song more than the book, the book got a little repetitive and long. ( )
