I liked this book and found it quite interesting. This book is written a third person point of view. I think this is a good way to have written this story because it makes it a little easier to for children to understand. It also has quotes from Benjamin Franklin himself which helps keep the story interesting because he had an different way of describing life. I also enjoyed the plot of this book because it goes through the life of Franklin and provides many interesting, little known facts about his life in politics and science. The big idea of this story is to provide information about Benjamin Franklin's life in an interesting, engaging way for young students. ( )

I really enjoyed reading this book because I knew absolutely nothing about Benjamin Franklin. I learned so much information that I could do a presentation on him. The language that the story is written in is clear and precise. This makes it helpful for me as a reader to be able to comprehend what exactly I am reading versus choppy sentences with no meaning. The illustrations really enhanced the story by describing the actions occurring. For example, on page 106, there is a picture of Ben Franklin trying out his experiment with electricity, as it is described in writing on page 107. The big message in this story was to give readers background knowledge on Benjamin Franklin and his journey through time. ( )
