Reading one of these anthologies is like going to a party, some people you know, some you don't, and maybe you will make some friends you will gain for the future. Of course you pick the book cause you know you will like the stories of the authors you know (Shane Allison, J.M. Snyder, Eric Del Carlo, Gregory L. Norris, Jay Starre, Dale Lazarov, Max Vos) but then it will be nice to be surprise to like very much some of the new ones (Lee Hitt, Tony Haynes, Landon Dixon, Boot LS, K. Lynn, Calvin Gimpelevich, Huck Pilgrim, David Holly, Dilo Keith, Dominic Santi, Thomas Fuchs, Dan Cavanagh).

The whole spectrum covers the "classical" themes of an erotica anthology: the blue collar worker, the college boy, the best friend's dad, the new neighboor, ... and all the stories are quick like a trick, that, indeed, is the right purpose of an erotica anthology, you can read these stories all at once, or just one, like a quick fix or a cigarette after sex. True, if you talk to my romantic side, I will say that my favorites are My Best Friend's Dad (that believe me, isn't as "usual" as you can think) and A Walk in the Park, cause there was romance other than erotica, but that was like finding a chocolate chip in a plain muffin, unexpected and nice, even if it wasn't in the menu.

Said that, the sex was good in all stories, and that is from a reader that usually don't care of sex if it is not good.

I had to rate this book objectively and I did. The short stories in this book were well written, to the point and hot as hell. Not much of a story line but it was designed to be (in my mind at least) erotic and boy was it ever. I'm not one to shy away from the dirty stuff but this book made me blush more times than I can count.

All of the classic tropes are here (poolboy, professor, blue-collar worker...an electrician, not a plumber), so there is likely to be something for most tastes. Some of the writing was a bit over the top (the excreble puns in the electrician story, for example), but most was good. A few editing goofs take one 'out of the moment' such as character names getting reversed in dialogue, or a character removing a condom from a wallet that was stolen in the first few paragraphs of the story. Overall, a decent collection, but a fairly low threshhold for 'best'.

A mixed bag, some really hot and sweet, others so nasty I had to put my food down and pause for a bit (the coach one felt really exploitative). Something for everyone, from bears to twinks, subversive to accepted, rent boy to long term couples. ( )

Every possible scenario is in this collection. From virgins to sexy older guys; sweet , hot, bondage, old friends, new friends, secret longings, blatant public couplings….this book has it all. The writing style and skills vary as each story is by a different author. These individual stories and fantasies and vary in intensity and interest. The only element missing in this anthology is humor. Some of the stories are noticeably missing an element of dialog and humor. This book is good bedside anthology for erotic playtime
