Small children will gleefully crow as they spot all Minerva Louise's misunderstandings. ?áFor example, she looks up to the kitchen sink and sees the jar of scrub brushes, and considers them to be flowers. ?áBut in the end, as is apparently usual in this series, Minerva Louise's conclusion fits the truth just fine.

?áI just heard about these books almost two decades after they were published... I wouldn't mind reading more of them but I guess they're already 'old' by our library standards. ( )

The curious hen, Minerva Louise, see new changes around the farmer's house. She expects that there is a new bunny somewhere, but it is actually the farmers' new baby. ( )

A Friend for Minerva Louise was such a cute little story and it's told from a chicken's point of view. The farmer's have a new baby and the chicken thinks that the baby is a rabbit for her to play with. She calls the stroller a wheel barrel and when she sees the baby, he's holding a stuffed bunny. The chicken says they did get a bunny and he has awesome toys, talking about the baby. It was very cute, but I think that the pictures were a little plain. Overall, the ending made me laugh. ( )

Minerva Louise finds that something is new in the house, and tries to find what is going on. She thinks it is a new farm animal, but discovers that there is a new baby on its way. This is a great book for story time, or reading it to a child who is about to become an older sibling. Any child that enjoys reading about farm animals would like this book too. ( )

This story was about a chicken named Minerva Louise. She thinks the house looks different. She walks through it and thinks the family there has a new bunny because of all the new toys. At the end of the story she sees a new baby with a toy bunny and thinks there is a new bunny with some great toys. This story describes all the things that would be in a house if there was a new baby. It would be a good story for children with a new baby at home.
