This is not a simple story. While I felt that the motivations were repeated more than I needed, I know why. Not everyone reads a book in a day. :)

The span of time this story encompasses is good, it gives a solid feel to how the relationships develop and grow deeper. I really enjoyed being there for the origin, it made the eventual triad so much more realistic. Jealousy does a lot of damage - but though it's felt, they took the time to remember the trust, the love that brought them together. There is a great deal of mutual respect among the characters, something any good partnership nurtures.

I bought the next book in the series. That's my highest compliment. That, and writing reviews. ( )

What I liked:
- Well, everything! :D
- The characters grew over time - I enjoyed how Josiah changed very much
- The relationships were slow paced and they were real
- There was no need for suspension of disbelief concerning their getting together, as with most threesome books
- The writing was good - engaging and fast paced, without lingering too much on the drama
- It made me all mushy inside in the best way possible

What I didn't like:
- Mateo was not in focus enough, and as far as I can see he grew the least as a character. I'm hoping that will be remedied in the next book.
- No info on what happened to Mateo after Josiah left

This is the second book I've read by this author, and I have to say, if this is the way she keeps writing, she will definitely become a favourite of mine very quickly.

I do admit, that I had a little trouble getting into the story. Part of that is my own little hangup on not really wanting to read about very young characters and it seemed that this book was heading that way. Needless, and lucky for me, I shouldn't have worried and we moved past that point very quickly. And that's when the story grabbed hold of me and refused to let go!

These three men, all of them broken in some way, are by far some of the most beautiful and heart breaking MC's I've read about in a while. They all fit together so well, but it's a real journey to get anywhere close to that point. This book takes us through different stages in all of their lives, but there is so much still to be told. So much I still want and need to know. We get a firm HFN in this book, but I'm very glad that there is another one somewhere in the planning! I want more of Teo, Josiah and Tristan. ( )

Who needs sleep or go to work when you have three hot men waiting on your kindle for you?

I loved this book which means I was laughing or crying through most of it.

Josiah just wants to love and to be loved in return. He is the glue that holds them all together.

Mateo has had a hard life. His 'family' making him do things that literally make him sick. He is the protector and would do anything and I do mean anything to protect the ones that he loves.

Tristan hides his emotions from the ones he loves because he thinks they will use his love against him.

Tristan's mom is awesome. Yes she 'broken' like the rest of them but all she wants is for Tristan to be happy no matter what it takes or who it is.

Riley Hart did an amazing job on this first book of the series. I can't wait to read the next one. ( )
