Even though Alex and his fellow teammates couldn't play baseball anymore, they'd made it through the fire and helped everyone they could. Now they're not only the best of friends, but business partners too. They've always loved baseball and now that the opportunity is right, they've purchased The Saints. Now all they have to do is get the previous owner's daughter to help them smooth things over with the current players on the team…but Maggie feels betrayed by her father for selling the team and isn't about to make things easy for anyone. Just because Alex is hot doesn't mean he's not the Devil himself. Things get off to a rocky start, but Alex is determined to win Maggie over to his side…strictly for the well being of the team. Can Maggie resist the Devil's charms and let her anger guide her or will she succumb for the sake of the team she's always been completely devoted to? The Devil in Denim was fun, sexy, and especially enjoyable for a sports fan who also loves to read romance! The by-play between the characters was full of edge-of-your-seat sex appeal. The witty comebacks were wickedly hot and comical too. Sexual tension kept the reader anticipating more erotic encounters between the often bickering hero and heroine. They were determined to keep each other at arms length, but they just couldn't stay away from each other. I loved the mix of sports and romance. The confidence and intelligence of the heroine was fantastic to see, along with her mature attitude in dealing with the hero. Love won in the end and we certainly had a sexy dose of that happily-ever-after we seem to love! I've been missing out on this author and I'm going to remedy that right now. I'll be vigilantly searching for more from Ms. Scott! Don't mss The Devil in Denim! 5 Stars! The Devil in Denim by Melanie Scott is an adorable read. I absolutely loved this book. It was one of those books that you did not want to put down and if you had to you could not wait to get back to it. The Devil in Denim is a romance that surrounds a baseball team in New York City. So if you love romance novels and like baseball at all, this is the book for you. Maggie Jameson had the shock of her life when she gets back from a European vacation her father sent her on after she graduated grad school; her father is selling their baseball team, the Saints, to Alex Winters, when she thought she was supposed to be helping her dad run the team and ultimately be the CEO when she got back. Her frustration mounts against Alex Winters and his two friends, Malachi and Lucas, who are going to be the new owners once all the other owners approve the sale in a vote in a few weeks. Maggie feels betrayed and heartbroken because that is her team; she grew up with them her entire life. The tension, as well as the chemistry, builds between Alex and Maggie, even though she is fighting it tooth and nail. When they thought everything is going well, there is suddenly another offer for the team. Can Alex and Maggie keep their relationship strictly professional? Will Alex and his friends even be the new owners with the new offer that unexpectedly came in? Will Maggie get her dream job of being the CEO of the Saints? Melanie Scott writes a wonderful story. I cannot wait to read the other stories in the series. I would give The Devil in Denim a 5 out of 5. I would highly recommend this novel to all romance readers or anyone that is looking for a fun light read. Maggie's lifelong dream of inheriting her father's baseball team is gone in a flash. And Alex Winters is one of three of the new owners. While she takes out her frustrations on Alex, she also can't help the chemistry between the two of them. And figuring out what's best for the team and herself isn't so easy. Lots of witty banter between several characters, not to mention nice chemistry between Alex and Maggie made this a good, light read. I do plan to read the other 2 co-owners stories. I received this book in exchange for an honest book review for Netgalley. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Maggie Jameson returns to New York after Grad school to find out that her father is selling her beloved baseball team, The Saints. The new owners, 3 incredibly gorgeous, want to preserve the traditions of the team and want Maggie to work with them to do that.
I highly recommend this book to everyone. ( )
