I thought that this was an excellent informational book. With the election that we just had, this is a good book to outline one of the most influential presidents in our history. Students will be able to learn key vocabulary words such as; lawyer, debates, senate, etc. by looking in the glossary in the back of the book. ( )

This is a historical fiction book because it gives us an insight on the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Throughout this picture book it gives us examples on his work and what all he accomplished throughout his life. I could use this book when taking about the different presidents and what some of them did to help America grow. Another way I could use this book is to have them do a project on on of our presidents and give a brief summary along with a poster about their time in office and what all they did. The media in this book is mixed media and print. ( )
