The Tree House of Horror episodes of the Simpsons have always been among my favourites of the show. They are often hilarious and full of in-jokes relating to the film they are spoofing. Well, this book contains two tales of comic terror. In the first one, Homer comes across an establishment that promises free doughnuts and beers. Of course, Homer being Homer cannot pass up free anything specially two of his favourite things! But all is not what it seems - will Homer escape the terror of the Monster Mash-up!

The second tale features Bart and Lisa in a story called Alienated! Something strange is happening Springfield High School and it is linked to the school dinners. Both of these tales are fun and made me want to start watching episodes of the show. Highly recommended for fans of the show - it will not disappoint! ( )

The TreeHouse of Horror is my favorite time of year. I love both the Simpsons comic and the show. This collection has two stories, and the first one is a bit weak, but the second story makes up for it. The art is good, and I enjoyed this book over all. ( )

I received this from Library Thing to read and review. There are two stores in this ebook. In the first, Homer is thrust into a haunted house situation, where he encounters old friends in various and different stages. The story was interesting but not as strong as I had hoped. Still, I enjoyed it.

In the second story, an alien invasion sets off all sorts of strange events. The aliens set out to invade/influence the Simpson’s world with modified food. This was a longer, also interesting story. I enjoyed reading about the twists and turns the story took, as I watched the Simpson’s and their friends’ reactions to the twists and turns of the invasion. If you enjoy the Simpsons or graphic books, this is a good choice, as I am sure you will enjoy it. ( )
