This book started out slow for me. I chose it to learn even more about Hawaii than I have studied. This is a great book to learn semi-current lingo and culture of the young surfers who are native to the islands. The book began to pick up after Alika Kealoha met the mysterious Kahuna who gave him some crazy wild information.

After discovering the real deal behind his dad's disappearance and the sudden death of his mom, Alika knew he was onto something big. Many of his friends had told him that strange, military-looking men kept asking about him and his whereabouts. That is when the mighty Tsunami known as Alika Kealoha was unleashed! And, unleashed it truly was, brah!
