I enjoy how simplistic it is, as it would be a great book to read with young students. It also leaves a lot of room for interpretation. The illustrations allow the reader to better understand what is going on in the story. Although, since it is such a simple book, it can be somewhat boring if students are unable to interpret what is happening through the pictures. The main idea of this story is possession, and sharing. The characters are constantly arguing about who the carrot belongs to. As the book goes on, words like mine, ours, and yours are shown and the pictures help to show the meaning of them. Overall, this book is okay. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

simple text, story told through illustrations, lots to talk about 'what is happening?' ( )
