A modern day rewrite of one of the most popular pieces of Christian literature ever penned. Brother Lawrence, of the 16th century, speaks to the 20th century; plus the writings of Frank Laubach on the same subject. A book of the astounding spiritual experiment of two Christians, Brother Lawrence in a monastery in early 17th Century France and Frank Laubach alone on a hillside in the Southern Philippines in the 1930's. Both men, seeking a richer experience with God to fill up their loneliness and emptiness, decided to see how much time in their day, then in each hour and finally in each minute they could think about and worship God. It was very difficult at first, but as they started to feel God's presence and His joy capturing their lives, it became easier. Finally, the joy was so intense that any time of distraction would cause them to fly back to God's presence. Another interesting finding was that all their work was completed more efficiently and they seemed to gain time rather than lose it through this intense contact with God. Their conclusion was that any Christian, in any type of work can maintain this communion with God and receive this same benediction of sustained happiness and peace in good times and bad. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
