This has quickly become one of my favorite series.
Jethro's story is the second book in the Winston Brothers series, but the third book overall. Ashley, the only girl in the middle of the six boys has a book in the Knitting in the City series (Beauty and the Mustache) that takes place before the events in Truth or Beard.
These boys, on the outside are the quintessential stereotypical hillbillies. But the more you get to know them, you learn they are intelligent, well read, polite, loyal and protective. Good men, all of them.
Being a good man came late to Jethro. As most young men do, he looked up and idolized his father. But his father was one of the worst. After getting clean of his father and turning his life around, he's tried hard to be the older brother his siblings needed him to be.
Sienna also comes from a large family. She was dubbed "the funny one". With her curves, and her quick wit, she took her stand-up comedy and turned it into an Oscar winning acting career. Too bad it didn't help with her sense of navigation. Filming her latest movie in the hills of Tennessee she finds herself, completely lost, when Jethro comes to her rescue. It doesn't take long for her to realize he has no clue who she is. Just doing the gentlemanly thing and escorting her to the set.
Both Jethro and Sienna have overcome so much to be where they are now. Sometimes sacrificing the thing, you want the most in the entire is the only to be sure you are truly deserving.
I loved Jethro and Sienna's story. But I was a little disappointed with the ending. I was left with several unanswered questions. What happened with his dad? I know Cletus said he had it covered, but I wanted to know. The same with Claire, what did she finally end up doing? And yes, they have their happily ever after, but I guess I wanted to know the logistics of it. She lives and works out of California, he Tennessee. How are they going to make that work? I finished the book and it felt unfinished; I wanted the details.
That being said, I will continue reading. Cletus is up next; I can't wait to get inside his head.

Secondo libro della serie che ho trovato, rispetto al primo, molto più bello e avvincente anche grazie ai due protagonisti che, questa volta, mi sono piaciuti molto.
Sienna Diaz, un’attrice e sceneggiatrice di origine messicana, bravissima, famosissima e tanto amata dal pubblico che la definisce la fidanzata d’America e Jethro, il maggiore dei fratelli Winston, dal passato burrascoso ma ora del tutto cambiato e per di più completamente ignaro della fama di Sienna.
Il loro incontro casuale sarà l’inizio di un qualcosa di molto inaspettato per entrambi.
La storia è molto semplice e anche lineare ma ben raccontata con una giusta progressione anche rispetto al vissuto dei due protagonisti, ciascuno particolare nella sua singolarità.
Un bel libro intrigante che mi ha fatto venire la voglia di conoscere meglio anche gli altri quattro fratelli Winston.

Yay, another Winston Brothers romance! These are all so super cute and have that perfect note of southern charm if you like slightly hillbilly guys who mean well and are a little bit old fashioned. It’s like going on vacation to Tennessee for a book, and Jethro, the oldest of the Winston clan, was a sweetheart, a reformed criminal who has sworn off bad deeds and women for five years to become a bear-saving park ranger, and comes across famous actress Sienna when she’s lost on a park road. I loved Sienna as well, a regular-sized woman who isn’t afraid of what she eats and has a saucy attitude. They were afraid to get close at first, and watching romance slowly blossom was sweet.

I also loved the hints of what is to come between Claire and Billy, who is something if a Winston enigma. As much as I love the romance, the interplay and struggles in the relationships f the brothers is really well written and keeps you flipping the page. They have a tortured thing going on that is completely drool worthy.

The Story:

I really am enjoying this series. These brothers have a complicated history but they are all working to make life better for themselves and their family. And I’m glad they are falling in love along the way. Sienna is smart, fun and perfect for Jethro. She could be a little more direct, especially with her sister but I love her. Jethro is also perfect for Sienna. He is going to make sure she is taken care of and she needs that as she spends a good amount of time taking care of others.

This book is so funny. It must be hard to write a book about a character who everyone thinks is funny cos you have to make sure they are funny.
Cletus is amazing in this book too, think it's preparing us for his book next.
We learnt a bit about Jethro in previous books but we find out about his past fully in this book and he has made massive changes to his life and is determined not to skip back. He is a most likeable character.
Sienna is so glad not to be under the famous spot light and just be herself.
Hank does not come out in a good light... Stirer.
An excellent read.

I have just done a second read and I can't explain how much I 💕💕 this book. Jethro and Sienna only have eyes for each other, that is so refreshing.

Jethro is such a romantic and so sweet.

The Billy and Claire teasers and insights are so heartbreaking. 💔💔
