Summary:
Eight months have passed since the Fall of Atilan and the release of the Terrigen Cloud. Black Bolt has a covert action team up and running. Medusa and Johnny Storm are an item. The Beast has sided with the Inhumans in this brave new world. Black Bolt acts to save his son by making a deal with the devil, the devil being Kang the Conqueror. Kang immediately betrays that trust, time travel, so his betrayal spans the time stream, including his and Ahura’s move to eliminate the Inhumans from history. Inhumans and Nuhumans are scattered about the world. They need protection. They need to be brought home. The Inhumans must act.

Why this book:
One of my first comic books ever was an issue of Inhumans. Loved these characters forever.

Favorite Character:
When Black Bolt walks in on Medusa and Johnny Storm’s “new” relationship. And as Medusa walks away, he pantomimes for Johnny what’ll happen if Johnny hurts her.

I want Reader and Forey to have their own book.

The Feel:
This feels like a piece of the tapestry of Marvel history. It doesn’t feel like a speed bump or a doing their own thing that too much seems to feel like in modern comics.

Favorite Scene / Quote:
Kang and Black Bolt...that is an awesome face off.

Reader’s “don’t let them touch my dog” line. Badassed.

When Ahura is shown what Kang has in store for his future, after the other Inhumans have already experienced it and stands up. Awesome.

Plot Holes/Out of Character:
The Central Park fight with the Chitauri...where all the Inhumans/Nuhumans are using each other’s names as they are speaking is a very stiff introduction.l

Hmm Moments:
So...is Kang Ahura or is Ahura Kang? Is he a Kang? Or the Kang? Time Travel, massive headache. Is there one Kang or many?

The idea of Nuhumans popping up wherever the Terrigen Cloud goes is great. Hearkens back to the classic X-Men tales where Professor X would find a nwe mutant with Cerebro and send the team to check them out. Though with the cloud floating the world, seemingly at random, but still giving Medusa’s group a chance to get to the site fairly quickly. And that is exactly the type of thing that Hydra and too many other groups would be jumping all over.

Love Naja’s design, but it puts me in mind, and fear of, a new Serpent Society. Hopefully they don’t go cliche and make the snake character the betrayer.

Miscellaneous Commentary:
Doesn’t quite give me the fever but it does make me wish I read comics more regularly than I do.
