Edward Marston/Keith Miles writes historical mysteries, and this is the first of a series based on murders around a Welsh architect. Desperate to meet his idol, Frank Lloyd Wright, he heads to Arizona where a Biltmore is being built. The young lady who assists him is killed, and there are lots of questions to answer: is the hotel really Wright's design or is he, as he claims, "just a consultant" to the architect, a former student? Why is the foreman so angry at anyone approaching the concrete brick factory? Just who is the Indian who cannot speak English very well? And are the Phoenix detectives really that much of an "Abbott and Costello" team? Enjoyable fluff as a cozy mystery (I knew who the killer was long before the revelation), but Marston/Miles' books are always readable. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
