I really enjoyed this book. It was full of action, animals . I received this book for free and voluntarily choose to review it. It pulled me in and hooked me in short order. I've given it a 5* rating. Outstanding suspense with heart. Not suitable for under 18 because of violence. ( )

Valerie Hansen is the author of Search and Rescue, the sixth book in the Rookie K-9 Unit continuity. This story is about Ryder Hayes, the newly appointed chief of police, raising his young daughter alone because his wife was the first one murdered and is the obsession of the murder. Sophie Williams is an ex-cop turned K-9 trainer after a problem at her old job and works closely with Ryder. Because the murderer is still on the lose Ryder is afraid to get close to anyone but is starting to have more than “just friends” for Sophie. Sophie is being shot at, and having strange things happen to her. This book is kind of two stories in one. One of them bring the continuity to a conclusion. I truly enjoyed each individual author’s story and their efforts to bring the continuity story to a satisfying conclusion. I would say I’m sorry to see the continuity end but I know that there is one more book because I have it preordered
