I really enjoyed the humor behind this story about hiccups. I think a lot of us can relate to the feeling of having bad hiccups and nothing seems to get rid of them. ( ) This silly story called "Hiccup Snickup", written by Melinda Long, is all about a girl trying to get rid of her hiccups. We've all be there, that annoying sound and feeling that we just can't get rid of. She asked everyone for advice, but nothing seemed to work. She tried the paper bag trick and even tried drinking water from the wrong side of a cup. However, they just would not go away. The whole family even got together to help her get rid of them. Finally, after all of that work, they were gone! But now, all of that trying must've gave everyone else the hiccups! What a disaster! This hilarious children's book is about a little girl who gets the hiccups and cannot ditch them. She learns a catchy saying from her grandmother who says that it is the only way to cure a hiccup. While maintaining a catchy little rhyme scheme throughout the book, it is sure to keep young students' attention. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
