( ) The Sinner Graveyard Queen Series, Book 5 By: Amanda Stevens Narrated by: Khristine Hvam Wow, this book has been the creepiest book yet! It gets a bit dark, twisted, and nail-biting! Tons of suspense! Amelia is doing an assignment and finds where people were murdered and buried alive! This is the cheery part of the story! From there it is gets so crazy but good and intense! This is the most intense one yet. I don't want to say to much and give anything away! Just listen to it! The narration is excellent! She makes it even more intense with her performance! The Sinner 4 Stars It has been a year since John Devlin and Amelia Grey parted ways, and Amelia is recovering from her broken heart by immersing herself in the restoration of Seven Gates Cemetery. However, upon discovering the body of a young woman in a mortsafe, Amelia finds herself in the midst of a murder investigation with links to dangerous and sinister forces that view her as a threat. Can she uncover the truth before they succeed in destroying her? One of the most compelling aspects of the Graveyard Queen series is the gothic and malevolent atmosphere that Amanda Stevens has crafted so brilliantly. The Sinner reinforces these elements and adds new nuances involving secret societies with nefarious agendas and mystical rituals requiring human sacrifice. The tension and suspense in this installment is off the charts and Khristine Hvam's softly spoken Southern accent draws the reader in to the spine-tingling narration completely. The mystery itself is interesting with several possible suspects, but the ultimate revelation of the villain's identity is not all that surprising given the circumstances. Fans of John Devlin will disappointed by his absence although there are tantalizing glimpses of his continued connection to Amelia, and the ending has me eager to continue on to the final book immediately. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
