What is Square was a general children's book. I expected it to be a little different than what it was. When I read the title, I thought the book was going to give us information on squares including the number of sides on a square and the angles on a square. All the book did was name different objects that are in the shape of a square. I understand that the book is for 2-3 year old's, however I think the book was a little boring and may not keep small children entertained. It was a good book to quickly tell students the different objects that are in the shape of a square or to quickly go over a square. ( )

This book is a great book for young children learning their shapes. This book uses rhyming words to make this book an easy read. Children can learn about all the things that are square. This book contains many vibrant colored photographs which makes the book fun for young children. The last page gives children a chance to discover what is square on the page and all around them.
