This is a great story about a rooster who has a cough and looses his voice. The rooster can not cock-a-doodle-do to wake up Farmer Ted or the other farm animals. He tries to get help from the other animals but quickly realizes that the other farm animals can't cock-a-doodle-doo like him. All of the animals gather together and climb on to one another in order to reach Farmer Ted's bedroom window to wake him. Farmer Ted realizes that he is getting a late start and all the animals decide to help Farmer Ted with his daily routine. ( ) This is a very cute book about a roster that had a sour throat and had to find a way to wake up the rest of the farm animals and the farmer. The roster goes to each animal and wakes them up to try and get them to help the roster wake up farmer Ted so he can get all of his chores done before sun set. They all work together to get Farmer Ted awake then realize that Farmer Ted will not be able to get everything done before sun set so they all help out. This book shows young children how to work as a team and they could get everything done that needs to be done. The rooster on the farm lost his voice and has to come up with a plan to wake up the other farm animals and the farmer. This book has lots of repetion, which is good for early readers. Also it teaches teamwork because the animals work together to wake up the farmer and how they help him on the farm. Rooster has a sore throat and is unable to wake up Farmer Ted. The bird wakes the hens with a "Cough!" and they join him to awaken the cows, summon the sheep, and then wake up the pigs. Together, the animals come up with a plan to get Farmer Ted out of bed. Once this is accomplished, he needs help to finish the chores before day's end. After the farmer brews warm tea and honey to soothe Rooster's sore throat, the rest of the gang helps him with the milking, feeding, egg gathering, and shearing. By sunset, the work is finished and Rooster has regained his crow. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
