Note: I received a digital review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. Caillou is outside playing with Leo and his family when Clementine arrives wearing a blue ribbon. Caillou would like to win a ribbon and Grandma gets an idea. She decides to organize backyard Olympic games with competitions like the heel-to-toe walk, the biggest smile or the silliest walk. During the games, Caillou does not win a ribbon at first and he is getting sad, but Mommy reminds him that games are for having fun, not just winning ribbons. Caillou starts to have fun and forgets about the ribbons, but in the end, everyone gets a ribbon. Caillou learns that winning is not as important as having fun with his friends. This is a great lesson for kids to learn and this would be a great book to have at home or at school to read before competition type games occur so children are prepared for not winning and gettting a prize. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
