Like most knitting pattern books, stitch explanations and abbreviations are included, along with pattern details and lovely photographs of finished projects. There are also helpful tips on washing and storing knitted items, protecting wool from moths, making pom-poms, and starting and finishing projects.
The designs include solid color and patterned pieces, both simple to more intricate. There are a few patterns for making 'Cuffs' which I have not seen before. They are worn on your wrists, are very cute, and would help keep the blustery breeze from blowing up your sleeves. There are two sweater patterns; this book mainly features hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and the like.
No skill levels are indicated, although the book does note when a pattern is easier or for beginners. I especially love the 'Loki' pattern, which is shown in a hat, scarf and sweater. Also, one of the models has beautiful hair just like Merida.
Recommended for confident knitters looking for lovely patterned winter wear.
