The book starts out with some history about the first flying insects and continues to touch on amazing facts pertaining to the different types. It covers wings, abilities, adaptations, size, and food sources.
What made this book so fascinating was the sharp photography and illustrations. Some of the insect photos were stunning close ups of eyes, wings, and bodies and the colors were magnificent.
Children won't be bored with this one. There are gobs of facts and the way they're presented is stimulating.
