Moses, is supposed to be gathering things before the snow comes so the family can stay inside but instead of getting the things he needs, he gets very side tracked and does not get what he should. At the end of the story, Moses's family has everything that they set out to get but they are bored. So Moses takes out his pebbles, sings his song, and shows them the dance he learned while out trying to gather his things. ( ) Bad weather is headed for a mouse family so they prepare for the winter, Young Moses mom tells him to gather food but all he gathers is a song, a dance, and three pebbles. Winter sets in and the family becomes bored as they have nothing to do all winter. Moses teaches them how to juggle and gets rid of their winter boredom. They bond over this and I find this more valuable than him finding food. He gave them happiness and good times which is drastically better. With bleak days ahead, a mouse family prepares for winter, gathering food and settling in. Young Moses gathers a song, a dance and three pebbles. He teaches himself how to juggle. When winter sets in and the family becomes bored, Moses resourcefulness pays off. S. D. schindlers evocative watercolors are a great complement to the text. This was one of my favorite books to read this spring. There are always some students in class who goof off and don't make wise choices. As a read aloud this book shows that all kids have strengths and can contribute to the common good. Much grace is exhibited here in the story and grace should be extended in the classroom. Discussions should be encouraged after the read aloud. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
As his mouse family endures a long, cold winter, Moses's contributions of a dance, a juggling act, and a little song prove more useful than he had supposed. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
