Love that this book branches out beyond the usual suspects, introducing kids to the variety and excitement of animals in the world. The charming stories celebrate the connections we have with animals, and the clever use of mnemonics teaches the alphabet while keeping children entertained. Great Work! Would definitely buy again.

I am glad to be asked & can honestly say this book is delightful! I am a grandmother & read it to my 5 yr old grandson. I like the idea of using the letters A-Z plus learning about unique animals. This book stimulated a lot of discussion about the various animals (many I had never heard of!). My grandson loved the illustrations too. We had to talk about each animal & it's unique characteristics. This book provided a lovely reading experience for the both of us! The illustrations were beautiful & so fun to view. All in all a great book for learning about animals! Who can resist? I am very pro animals & the environment. I feel this book will instill in children an appreciation for the animals that we share the planet with. Many thanks to the author Heather Jones!

Our daughter loves this book! She learns her alphabet with the cute, quirky, silly names & descriptions of the unique animals! We have the most fun when we make up our own names at the end of the book! It's a very engaging & a fun book! The illustrations are beautiful! It's great to learn about different & unusual animals!

We love this book! Unusual Animals A-Z is filled with interesting facts about each animal. As a teacher of nearly 20 years, I highly recommend this book for any pre-k to first grade child. The illustrations are unique and fun, and the content is filled with facts!

The book helped our children develop letter recognition, reading comprehension and critical, comparative thinking skills (i.e. discovering what exotic "unusual" animals could be compared to in more common species).
