Did you know the blue whale actually has finger bones in its flippers? I certainly didn't. By sliding the scanner over the blue whale body, you can see the finger bones inside the flippers. The book also breaks down various sections of Top 5 animals such as Strongest, Smartest, Tiniest, and Deadliest. It offers a brief overview of each of the Top 5 animals, sharing their unique quality and where they live.
The book also offers Lift-the-Flaps throughout the book showing a specific feature unique to that particular animal, like how the Peacock Flounder blends in perfectly with its background in order to be completely hidden.
These are really awesome books and I know that kids will be fighting over these during their self-reading time in the classroom. All elementary-aged kids will find these books exciting with vivid photos and mini facts to keep kids interested. With so many unique animals in our world, there is much to learn in these books. ( )
