This is the first zombie book I've ever read, and I actually didn't mind the zombies in it. I loved the characters (especially Leucas; the Iliad has slid into my 'I'll start reading that this week' list because of him) and the plot line was beautiful. I wish there had been more relationships in the book; not having a romance or some strained relationship made it difficult for me to get into this book as much as I could have. This book was excellent over all and I'm really impressed with it. ( )

I really enjoyed this book and its sequel, fantasy novels set in the tumultuous and cosmopolitan world of the Late Bronze Age Mediterranean. ( )

It's been a long time for me on this one. The memory is hazy. Still, I love most of the author's work.

Characters: Quite predictable. But at least the lead is lovable.
Plot: A couple twists here and there. Good fight scenes as expected.
Style: High fantasy adventure all the way. ( )
