A Bridgewater Ménage Series Prequel! See how it all begins! Returning from Europe, Ann learns she is to marry a man of her father's choosing once they arrive in New York. Refusing, she runs away, although she can't go far on a steam ship. Only as far as the stateroom of a very handsome soldier. There's only one guaranteed way to save a woman from a bad marriage, and that's to marry her himself. Ann is surprised Robert will go to such lengths to protect her, but stunned when she won't just be marrying him, but his fellow soldier, Andrew, as well. Author note: This is a panty melting prequel with two hot soldiers and a woman they vow to protect. This MFM is all about the woman!.… (meer)

This is a reverse harem short that is really good, sexy, and heart warming. ( )

Dang, I have had all blasted day to write this review and yet it is now after freaking midnight and I am still working on it. With the wind howling and the rain pounding I have finally figured out what my issue is. My biggest issue is that I am trying to decide exactly what I like and don’t like about Their Runaway Bride. Because one second I like it and the next second I don’t and it’s making me feel wishy-washy, talk about crazy, wow, I am losing my marbles. Regardless of my wishy-washiness I will do my best to sort through whatever has me going back and forth, thank goodness, the cover and blurb were easy to decide.

Ann’s dick headed greedy father want her to marry a man who gives her the heebie-jeebies not because it would be a good match for her but because it would benefit him, so she runs as far as she can go on a ship. Her decision to run places her on an intercept course with Andrew and Robert and they are ready willing and apparently eagerly able to help her solve her issues with the situations. Now this is where things get rather teeter-tottery for me, one the one hand Vanessa Vale did a decent job because I was sucked in and didn’t come out of the book until my daughter called (I was 4 pages away from being done) to tell me she and my husband were on their way home from their father-daughter day (They took their Jeeps up to Browns Camp to get muddy) and that I should meet them in Yamhill for Mexican food. Now, on the other hand it seemed like the books flow speed was set on super-fast. One minute she is being form of her impending marriage and the next we are in a poker game and next is another state room with a naked man and a wedding then hot steamy sex with lots of orgasms (we are talking steam rising from my tablet hot) and so on and so forth. Sorry, I am really trying not to give too much away because I am really hoping one of you will read this story and give me your perspective because with all the vacillating I did, I am feeling confused. What was already written was great but I have read prequals that were longer and it just feels like a lot was left out or more could have been added like maybe a little more conversation while they were hidden in their cabin or maybe the father turning up few more times hunting for his child, hey more detail about why her jerk of a dad wanted her married to creepy mccreep.

Now for the rating another interesting dilemma. The book had so few edits that they don’t even factor in, but this back and forth with the like and dislike has me floating between a two-star and a four-star rating and then add to that the question that I always ask myself, can I see myself reading this book again (Usually if I answer yes this with a yes it gets five-stars unless to many edits interfere)? So, I guess everything hinges on the answer to that question. Well I guess that question just gave me my answer, didn’t it? Well, damn, I guess I really am scattered if it took all this writing just to get to this blasted point.
