Fun little book about Victorian Cape May, NJ haunted locations. Mostly features B&Bs of the area, which if anyone who's familiar with Cape May is filled with them. As a previous reviewer noted it is a bit cheesy at points in the telling of the stories, think Robin Thick and Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. All and all fun and easy to read. Several of the names were changed apparently due to owners etc not wanting to be identified. Numerous pictures of the places in question as well. ( ) This book isn't terribly well-written, and would benefit from some copy editing, as there are a few grammatical & word usage errors. The format seemed a bit cheesy, but included photos of many locations, which I enjoyed. Most of the stories aren't particularly scary, though a few were a bit creepy. It's a quick, fun read filled with some regional color and history and a few chills. Having spent time at the Jersey Shore in my youth added to my enjoyment of this little book. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Whether or not you believe in the ghost stories presented in this story, it is a great book to read, at least for the story if nothing else. A good book to read curled up on the couch. Some chilling tales and also some good stories. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
