He was eighteen. The heir to a notorious, criminal MC. And my student. There was no way I could get involved. No way I could stay involved. Then, no way I could get out alive. An MC student/teacher romance.

If editing issues are a problem for you then this isn't a book you will enjoy. It wasn't so bad you couldn't figure out what word or phrase it should have been. There was a LOT of description and thoughts in this book. I felt it just didn't flow well and the h was so immature! King was definitely the saving grace and hottie. The author tried to make the h progress from door mat to badass.....but, she just didn't quite get there. It wasn't terrible but I won't continue. Sexy scenes were well written. ( )

Half way through and I'm enjoying this book...many complained about the maturity of the two main characters. First off...age is just a number. Many 18 year olds can act much older than their true age. Many 26 year olds can act much younger then their true age.

Having said that, I enjoyed the chemistry and connection these two have together. I didn't appreciate the teacher student aspect even though they are both adults. But to each their own and this will not affect my overall rating.

Here you have a woman who had been isolated from the real world by her parents...I mean she wasn't allowed to go to her own prom...then is handed off to be married to her parents best friend who doesn't feel sex is meant for pleasure...hell she never lived no wonder she acts younger than her age.

Then you have a man...yes an 18 year old man...no longer a boy...who is highly intelligent due to his own up bringing...book and street smart who grew up fast and acts well beyond his years.

I feel these two are the other half to their own puzzle piece. They were meant for each other.

I do have to say at one point Cressida was just annoying and repetitive...dude if you dont want to be with him stop saying the same excuses...it was so damn repetitive that I had to skip over some of her parts...that is an automatic 1 star deduction from the overall rating for me...in addition, she was so unappreciative of getting her car fixed, it just pissed me off...very ungrateful person in my opinion. Oh and if she refers to him as man-boy one more time I'm deducting another star from my overall review.

For the most part, this was a good read for me...it was a little too predictable...however I am looking forward to Zeus' story. ( )

This book was a little of everything that I love in a good book. Captivating characters, angst, turmoil, forbidden love, self discovery, and steam.

While this book might be classified as MC, it was not a typical MC romance. Instead, it's a book about Cressida, who is learning how to live. She is wickedly smart and trying to discover who she is. King. Good lord is there anything hotter than a dirty mouthed man who also reads and is educated? Not in my world there isn't. These two... Sweet lawd. They were hotter than Satan's mistress.

Sp asking of Satan, all the talk of Milton's Paradise Lost had me like a hid in the candy shop. I've written many papers on this book while I was pursuing my Literature degree. It was nice to see it so incorporated in the story.

Definitely recommend this book. ( )

Read this on a recommendation from others. It wasn't for me. I don't mind age gaps, nor do I mind a forbidden romance once in a while, but I found my self skimming though a lot of pages. The hero is 18 years old, and obviously mature for his age in a lot of ways, but I just couldn't wrap my mind around him. He was unbelievable to me. He would have been more believable to me if he would have been at least in his mid 20's. It is difficult for me to read student/teacher story lines. I have read very few that I could get behind. This is not one of them. This is my first book by this author and I will try a few more before I decide if I wish to follow her or not. ( )
