There were some good looking recipes in here. I'm glad he wrote this book in a fast, faster, fastest manner. When I used to get his magazine the recipes were ridiculous with 20-30 steps. There were enough recipes in here that I'll add the actual book to my bday list. I got this book from the library. ( )

The best thing that every happened to Christopher Kimble was to leave America's Test Kitchen. His new cooking style is an adventure in world cooking. The recipes are inventive and I have yet to make anything that has not gotten rave reviews. I have learned there are more spices out there than salt and pepper. American palates are changing with our diverse population and this book allows you to discover new and exciting tastes for yourself in quick and easy recipes. ( )

If you live in a food desert like I do, here in small-town Arkansas, you won't be able to make very many of the recipes in this cookbook.

Amazon Prime might be able to deliver a lot of the pantry ingredients to me, such as fish sauce and white balsamic vinegar, but I'll never be able to get my hands on the fresh produce the recipes call for, such as Thai basil or lemon grass.

I flipped through an ebook from the library before deciding that this cookbook has no place in my rural Arkansas kitchen.

This is proving to be a popular cookbook in my circles and I'm starting with the recipe for Linguini with Spiced beef and Feta, pg. 74-75. I brought home a wonderful feta cheese from the cheese store this weekend and can't wait to try it! ( )

I have previously talked a lot of shit about Christopher Kimball as a food personality and presumed that the stodginess of ATK was mostly his doing.

But by god the man did some traveling and with the help of his hardworking and too-subtly billed team has published a cookbook full of mildly international dishes with a fuck ton of anchovies, fish sauce, and other umami bombs.

This cookbook is super-high utility for a pescatarian with a little bit (but not too much) evening cooking time on her hands. Would recommend. Everything I've cooked so far has been good.

Way to go, dude. ( )
